something I’ve run into a few times is people who I give my preferred pronouns (ey/em) to using they/them instead bc they find it more convenient. I don’t insist bc I don’t want to scare them off of they/them pronouns, but those… are not my pronouns. I’m not gonna start using it in cis contexts bc I don’t want to go through a whole thing about it, but tbh I think I prefer auxiliary it over defaulting to they pronouns (for myself.) when people who I’ve told my pronouns to use they, I feel like they’re just not listening to me. I feel like with it at least they would be doing the thing I asked for.
