it’s been reported to me that the assignment giver was actually the girl’s father, which is, if anything, worse to me. from the grandfather it would seem at least a bit more whimsical, from the father it just seems demanding.

not that it’s a true image, but I feel like I’ve seen a lot of people around my age as having already reached What Their Gender Is and as being self-realized with their presentation (not necessarily totally happy, not necessarily free of dysphoria, but presenting the way they do out of desire to present that way specifically) and I’ve just kind of… drifted and not looked at myself a lot. I see myself as very nondysphoric and not-unhappy with my presentation but that’s not really true, I’m just very disconnected from how my body exists and how people see me.

when I fantasize about myself in the future, aside from the standard wild unrealistic success and such nonsense, I look completely different from how I do now. on the rare occasions that I let myself go so far, this is even in completely unrealistic ways. when I think more realistically, I imagine drastic changes to my embodiment through biomedical intervention and a complete difference in my presentation.

a sort of assumption that I make about myself is that I have the space and resources to be self-realized, and therefore I presumably am, but… that’s not true. it’s unfair to me, honestly. I’m running out of steam for this post, gonna eat a donut and maybe get rid of a bunch of clothes. leave a note on this post if you think I should list them for giveaway if I do. this next paragraph was already written.

anyway I should probably stop buying girls/womens clothes even if I think they’re cute because I’m not very happy wearing them.
