I grew up usually using a santoku instead of a western style chefs knife so whenever I see knife sets that don’t have one I’m like… you live like this? it’s personal preference of course, it’s just always I guess surprising to me bc on an emotional level to me the santoku is like. the basic kitchen knife that exists.
