with enough effort I could probably cultivate a “cooler” personality (calmer, less sharing about emotions, less enthusiastic about my interests) but I don’t think there’s much of a percentage in it for me. a lot of effort just to shove my personal nature into a box. also, due to a few incidental factors (eccentric dress sense, amount of art galleries I’ve been to) I think I’d run a significant risk of just turning into an insufferable poser and even more insecure. best just to stick with my actual personality. I’m bubbly and effusive.
