Why do we cling to allow monarchies to exist, in any form? Why do we permit people of a “”“”“royal bloodline”“”“” to be treated so well for no reason? What did they do to deserve respect and admiration aside from be born rich? Clinging to these people, even without them having any actual power is unbelievable to me. There should be no room for a monarch, figurehead or not, in modern society.
Some of you can come at me with “They’re someone to turn to and unite the country whenever a tragedy happens.”
But here’s the thing: get the fuck over it. Tragedies happen in places without kings and queens and they do just fucking fine. Your country can suck a fat dick if the only way they can unite is under some fuck who was lucky enough to be squirted out of “"royalty”“.
