accounts of nursing animals dragging human handlers to their litters or otherwise soliciting their presence there probably have to do with the fact that mammalian pets appear to tend to regard human handlers as (their) babies.
interestingly while mammals tend to interpret humans as neotenous birds tend to interpret human handlers as peers and potential sexual or domestic partners. there is a profusion of accounts of domestic and pet birds enthusiastically displaying and performing other solicitations for human handlers (as in peacock and ostrich displays) or attaching with monogamous ferocity to their owners lol
whereas mammals seem to interpret humans hairlessness, high fat distribution and frequent vocalizations as puerile, birds appear to interpret these traits along with humans bipedalism as signifiers of avioid maturity
We had a bird for a while, she thought I was the hottest damn bird on the planet… She’d go into vibrate mode every time I entered the room (cockatoos vibrate when they want to mate)
babe u are the hottest damn bird on the planet ;0)

hey please help me out by voting in this!! (anyone can vote, even nonlesbians bc at this point basically all differences are aesthetic)
this is brought on bc the pink flag is originally just for femmes and the purple labrys one i’ve heard jewish lesbians have been uncomfortable with the black triangle, so this is my attempt at an alternative flag
the colors are a combo of 2 of the original 8 color gilbert baker rainbow flag, and the teal and yellow are opposite colors of pink and blue, representing how femmes/butches do not replicate heterosexuality, but form their own womanhood outside of it despite superficial appearances. the middle green in some of them represents lesbians who don’t fit the butch/femme dichotomy but nonetheless have their womanhood shaped by their lesbianism
please boost this if you can so i can get more input!
