I say I’m gay a lot for a bi person but I think a major factor in my life w/r/t my orientation is that while I’m sexually attracted to both men and women, and can form close friendships with them, I’ve only ever dated other nonbinary people, and can’t/don’t envision ever doing otherwise. while I have the capacity for bisexual attraction, my social attachments are largely with people of the same gender and my movement is largely through same gender spaces. being bi is important to me and a real part of myself, but gay more efficiently describes a lot of what I’m up to.
