Hey everyone! I’ve been talking about this project for a while and I’m happy to say it’s finally done.
COLORED SYMBOLISM is a zine containing scanned versions of 4 screen prints I made, all centered around the “meaning” of the color black. I wanted to feature animals that were all considered evil when they were black, so I chose cats, birds, horses, sheep, and people. The zine is available in pdf version on Gumroad, and the pages are 11x17 so the images are all true to size. I’ve made it “name your price”, so if you’re able you can pay what you think it’s worth, and if your money’s funny you can still download it for free.
Since they all started as screen prints, I also have an edition of 10 original prints for each image in the zine. Talk to me if you want to buy or trade for them (Disclaimer: SPs are kind of expensive and I would have to sell them at around $30 for singles, can cut deals for multiples).
