yearly seasonal reminder to keep your christmas headcanons/fics away from canonically jewish & muslim characters 

billy kaplan having a good time at the YA Christmas movie marathon watching the Jim Carey grinch movie and wearing a Santa hat and cuddling with his boyfriend on the couch, with an undercurrent of deep-seated emotional conflict, worrying that this will make people think he’s Christian somehow or less/not really Jewish. worrying that his friends will forget or that some scale somewhere is tipping toward “he doesn’t even care, huh”, and should he be more vocal about his somehow? should he have insisted on Hannukah movies too? like what, the rugrats special? is it annoying or over the top to say something? does he even really care? is he faking caring? is he faking not caring? not eating the Christmas ham because even though he doesn’t keep kosher in the first place it feels like it would be a little beyond the pale. remembering all of the Roswell Christmas episodes. looking up the show Roswell and finding out that the main actress in it was Jewish. falling asleep with his head on teddy’s chest during the nightmare before Christmas.
