Pokemon evolution.
Holyshit
this post is really funny but it also makes me really sad because I remember that el doesn’t look like this during most of the series. like. she kind of gets set on a path to become Correctly Feminine, first just in appearance but then, when she’s really “coming into herself”, on a much deeper level of thought. and it bothered me so much because at first she got to be just a kid in a neutral colored shirt with a shaved head but then when trying to, like, reintegrate into society, she had to Think About Pretty.
but then maybe it makes me happy again because I can think that el gets to get past that. gets to realize that she doesn’t have to dress in pink. that she doesn’t have to ask boys if they think she’s pretty to know that she’s a person. maybe she gets to stop thinking about Pretty. I hope so.
